Starting from the left...



Blake Villermin is from Dayton, Texas. During his college career, he has worked two summers as a Measurement Technician and also two summers as a Millwright. Blake is a residential assistant as well as a senior at LeTourneau University and is planning to graduate in the Spring of 2013.

 

Austin Koralewski is from Pearland, Texas and currently studying at LeTourneau University, he is serving as a junior member of the VERT 2013 senior design team.  Austin plans on graduating in May of 2014 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  His engineering interests include alternative energy, petroleum retrieval, and agriculture and mining technologies.

 

Isaac Towne is a senior Mechanical Engineer.  He has various project design team experience ranging from designing a desktop crane to redesigning a kitchen mixer.  Isaac hopes to pursue a career in product design in general consumer products or the automobile industry.

 

James Hilbish (VERT 13 Team Lead) is a Senior in the Electrical Engineering program at LeTourneau University who plans to graduate in May of 2013. For the past five summers James has worked on offshore oil platforms in Alaska as a crane rigger. During the spring of 2010, James worked as an engineer intern at Electroimpact in Mukilteo, Wa.

 

Ian Reed is a mechanical engineering student at LeTourneau University. He gained professional experience as a product engineering intern at John Deere and enjoys working on LeTourneau’s VERT senior capstone project. His professional engineering interests include alternative energy, space exploration, and foreign missions.

 

Ben Pontier (Vortex Generator Sub-Team Lead) is studying engineering technology with a mechanical concentration at LeTourneau University.  A missionary kid, he was born and raised in Africa and has gained professional experience as a turn-key waterjet cut operator in Longview, TX.  His professional engineering interests include international oil and foreign missions in challenging environments and cultures. ​

 

Levi Leppke (Transmission Sub-team Lead) is from Virginia and currently studying Mechanical Engineering at LeTourneau University.  During the summer of 2012, he interned at RHP Industries in Aubrey, Texas, where he worked on the design and production of various consumer products.  He gained project management skills and Solidworks experience while working with clients to design and produce their product ideas.  Levi plans on graduating with his ME degree in May 2013.



Chris Black is a Senior Mechanical Engineering student and Resident Assistant from Northern California who enjoys music and travelling. As an intern for the Far East Broadcasting Company, he gained experience in antenna and rigging design and fabrication, as well as cross-cultural communication. Chris plans on graduating in May of 2013 and hopes to work in the military technology and weapons development industry.
